What outerwear should I wear with [this dress?](https://imgur.com/a/URtasCA) It’s for a big club event that requires semi formal attire. It’s tomorrow night and I’d appreciate any suggestions from Forever 21, H&M and any stores in the U.S. that have physical stores. Thanks! PS: I only have black cardigans and black outerwear in my closet atm and none of them look flattering with this dress unfortunately.

What type of knit goods are in style for middle-school and high-school aged kids now? I'm an aunt of seven and usually would include a knit slouchy beanie (and a pair of knit mittens or something similar if I didn't run out of time) to include with the christmas gifts I got for my nephews and nieces but I got the impression that the style of hat I usually knit for gifts, [examples here](https://imgur.com/a/91Bfgy6), is not that really that stylish for teens and preteens anymore. I look forward to this time of year for knitting something that the kiddos will really love because I impulsively buy single skeins of nice yarns like cashmere blends, certain pricier brands of merino wool yarns, silk blend yarns, alpaca yarns, yarns from small family farms, etc and hats tend to be my favourite single-skein projects to knit. Knitting them for the niblings makes me not feel guilty for wasting my 'nice yarns' but I still want to make sure I knit something that they are happy to receive and wear!

What's the best way to get body odor smell out of velvet? I bought a velvet dress and it smells soo bad. I sprayed with a mixture of water & vinegar but if that doesn't work what else can I do?

Looking for a wool coat this winter but I can't seem to find good quality ones. Aritzia has so many but I haven't seen any that would be super warm. What's the warmest wool coat you've come across? I need suggestions, I'm starting to freeze already!

ISO a sweatshirt comparable in cozyness to a college sweatshirt. One of my roommate's friends walked off with mine and since I can't pinpoint who it was I'm looking for an inexpensive sweatshirt to replace it. Preferably something with the same warmth factor

I so, so desperately need black (ideally washed black) skinny jeans that are perfect. These are my requirements: -under $150ish -high waisted, absolutely no mid-rise -DON'T BAG OUT AT THE KNEE OH MY GOD even Madewell's jeans do this to me -ideally cropped, but not necessary -generally flattering Sometimes I find the right pants at Zara but never in all of the above combination. Sigh.

Do you put workout leggings and other similar stretch items in the dryer? Which method (air dry vs hot dryer) keeps your leggings in better shape? I wash everything in cold water but i realize that the hot air in the dryer might break down some kind of elastic fibres?

So I am looking for a winter coat that actually fits my petite frame and has 21" long sleeves. Because, y'know, I have irritating proportions that make it impossible to find long sleeved anything. I prefer black coats, and don't like anything super puffy. I don't want to look like a walking marshmallow. I'd prefer a more streamlined, lighter jacket that will still keep me warm and doesn't go past my hips. I live in Ohio and will basically just be wearing it to walk from my car to my college and out shopping. I have been considering looking at children's coats because I'm that desperate. Could I just waltz into Dillard's or Macy's? What stores have a decent selection where I would be able to actually go try them on rather than shopping online?

Is this [print](http://imgur.com/a/RFHRk8y) appropriate for a wedding? I'm really paranoid about wearing too much white. I bought the same dress in black, if you think it's a better option. I also have no idea how to accessorize it and would love ideas. Thanks!

I am a Senior College Student in the Northeast region of the United States. I recently was offered $100 towards a clothing item of my choice, and I have been in great need of a sweater. Not just any sweater (although I don't have a particular one in mind), but one that is soft, mid-weight, neutral-colored, maybe crew-neck, conforms to my body without squeezing or causing me to sweat, and can go long times without washing. I'll probably wear it over t-shirts or tank-tops, and under pea-coats or parkas. I just want something I can wear every single day for every single occasion (simple but pretty). Is that too much to ask? Anyways, $100 is more than I've ever spent on an article of clothing other than shoes and I don't even know where to start looking for this. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

need help buying a gift for my partner but due to a bit of a strange size issue I cant for the life of me find anything that suits. I am looking to buy my GF a couple of bikinis. Floral or boho type print but she is a 12G bust. This in itself isnt an issue but I am wanting to get her a matching set with thong bottoms (not cheeky or semi thong). I cant find anything for the life of me. Help please.

The dry cleaner ruined my Canada Goose Kensington coat, and now I need a new winter jacket. Are there any other jackets out there that are comparably warm but less expensive? My Canada Goose was a life changer; I’ve lived in the northeast USA my entire life, and no other jacket I’ve worn has ever come close to offering the warmth of my Canada Goose.

Does anyone have experience with boohoo sizing? I want to buy [this dress](https://us.asos.com/boohoo-plus/boohoo-plus-velvet-kimono-sleeve-mini-dress-in-green/prd/10923107?CTARef=Saved%20Items%20Image) but according to their size chart I am inbetween 12 and 14 (bust waist 12, but hips measure a tad bigger than the 12 size chart). Wondering if anyone has experience with them running big or small?

I bought this exact [corduroy skirt](https://www.forever21.com/us/shop/catalog/product/f21/bottoms/2000286097) from a Forever 21 store the other day in the Chestnut color. I have an outfit just like the one the model is wearing in the photo of the Chestnut color skirt. I also have the other classic things people normally pair with it (black and white shirts/leotards/crops, booties, Converse, etc) Anyone else have some cool suggestions for this skirt? This type skirt seems to be in right now, so I want to rock it this winter. I’m in a warm climate area, so I’m trying to avoid more than 1-2 layers, but other than that, anything goes!

Hi femalefashionadvice, I was wondering if any of you can help me out with finding some beanies. My mother is currently undergoing chemo which is making her lose her hair. She wanted me to find something that looks good and will keep her warm (she's getting treatment in South Korea and it's already starting to get chilly there). If any of you can suggest anything, I'd greatly appreciate it! Thank you!

Is there a name for sleeves [kinda like these](https://www.pinterest.com/xer0xing/what-are-these-sleeves-i-love-them/) that billow out at the bottom with a defined cuff? I'm seeing it in many places online, but I haven't seen it at the mall yet-- is there a place I could find tops like these that are cheaper than $300/item at boutiques?

Does anyone have recs for a low profile sneaker with similar support to the Saucony TR10 Excursions? I take dance classes and while these shoes keep my feet from aching, they're a little bulky and get in the way of some movements. If it helps, I have very flat feet and tend to overpronate (the TR10s correct that). Nikes have never fit me right and I'm not really into neon or girly colors.

I really love the idea of gorgeous silk nightgowns and kimono robes(Madeline Stow's amazing collection of nightgowns in Revenge, Carla Gugino's nightgowns in Haunting of Hill House). But I also don't live somewhere where it is perpetually warm, our house tends to be a bit chilly. I really just want to upgrade from my sweats and a hoodie "Pj's" to something a bit more feminine and sexy I suppose. My significant other and I tend to change out of work clothes into lounge type Pj's a soon as we get home, so it would be nice to have something comfy, warm and a bit more alluring than my college hoodie and fox pattern pj's lol I wouldn't be wearing them to actually sleep in, so practicality of that doesn't matter

If anyone has tried both, are Skechers or Allbirds more comfortable? I'm heading to Europe in a couple days, will be doing a lot of walking, I ordered these Skechers sneakers https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01IX9ISJO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 because Skechers slipon Go Walks are my go-to travel shoe, the memory foam is great for my plantar fascitis. A friend suggested I try Allbirds since they have a 30 day guarantee, I was hoping to try them for a few days before I left but they just came and I leave Friday morning :. So does anyone have experience with trying Allbirds if Skechers are comfy for you? They are definitely cuter but I dont want to take them on the trip if I won't be able to walk all day in them!

I’m wanting to wear skirts casually but don’t really know how to. I’m wanting some skirt outfits I could wear to go shopping or out to dinner but still not look over dressed. I prefer skirts that reach my knees or longer. Any outfit ideas?

This may seem like the stupidest question ever but I’ve recently gotten more into fashion and having trouble with my Sam Edelman Petty boots in the “putty suede” color (pic here sorry I’m on mobile https://i.imgur.com/vQaGfDd.jpg ) My issue is the color. I have a lot of gray clothes and feel like these don’t match them, the tones are “off” to me. Do your booties have to match your clothes or am I being overly picky about this? Also I don’t find these boots super comfortable so if anyone has recommendations for Chelsea boots (with no heel) that are comfy please let me know! :)

Are there brands that sell women's business casual clothes that go in the drier? I travel for work and hotel laundry is wash and dry, no exceptions. Help! I've lost many pants to shrinkage. I'm thinking of buying a size up and shrinking.

Why do jeans come up so high on me? I prefer low rise jeans, but I literally cannot find any that would qualify as “low rise” even when labeled as such. High rise tends to hit VERY high, like almost up to my bra, mid rise hits above the waist, and low rise tends to hit just barely at or above the waist. Where can I find jeans that actually sit at my hips?

Where can you find long-sleeved bodysuits? I have a wrap velvet one from Madewell and I’m looking for some less flashy ones. A lot of bodysuits have super low necklines and I’m looking for more moderate scoops & vs or a cute turtleneck. I’ve checked AE, UO, and f21 already.

Should my heel be slipping in a new pair of Chelsea boots? I just got my first pair, and it fits well everywhere else but my heels slip a bit (about a half inch or so) when walking. Is this something that will go away once broken in or can be fixed with heel liners, or does this mean I should send them back?

What's your go-to casual fall jacket? I have a really warm winter jacket but nothing that's "fashionable" yet casual that can easily be paired with a ton of different outfits that I can just throw on on a chilly day but still look good.

What footwear do you wear with boyfriend jeans that you were cuffing in spring/summer but now is too cold to wear them cuffed? They were easy enough to throw on with Birkenstock’s, Tom’s or even open toe booties but now that the weather is colder and I’m wearing all pants full length again, I don’t know what to wear with them.

For anyone in the UK or London specifically, are there any places you can bring clothes in for cash? I just moved here from the US and have only found donation shops, no resale. Poshmark is just getting a bit tedious at this point and I'd rather dump the whole bunch of my stuff at once!

Hello all! I'm looking for a pair of black pants or slacks so I can get out of my black leggings rut and look more put together. I'm 5'4 and will be around 130-140 pounds (it's a work in progress). I have no waist. My body just goes flat down with no curves at all. No butt. But my thighs and calfs are huge. I don't have slender ankles so I find most pants that goes above my ankles, doesn't flatter my body. I prefer to hide my ugly cankles. I'm hoping to find a pants with deeper and functional pockets. Something I can wear for job interviews (will be on a job hunt soon) and wear for travel. What are your favorites and recommendations? Thanks!
