I am kindof hard to fit and hate making decisions in the morning. So if I find clothes--especially work-appropriate clothes--that fit me well, I usually buy at least 2 in different colors. My biggest fashion regrets actually involve me buying just one of something, ending up loving it, and the item being discontinued or somehow changing in quality/fit/material.

I thought I didn't buy a lot of multiples, but thinking through my closet has found more multiples than I previously thought. * Madewell [sweater blazers](https://www.madewell.com/blazer-sweater-jacket-99105169831.html) in navy and grey (last year's colors): these are the perfect weight and style for my business casual office in NorCal. I wear these basically every week between september and may, and occasionally in the summer if the AC's on way too high. They look like I tried, when it really just feels like a big comfy cardigan. * Sezane Warry [silk t-shirts](https://di2ponv0v5otw.cloudfront.net/posts/2018/04/12/5acf84c9ccaf9b855d6406a5/m_5acf84cca44dbefa8b478f93.jpeg) in black and white: again, these are perfect year-round for my office, and I wear these both at work and outside of work. They're just an elevated t-shirt that makes everything look a little more put together. Throw on with jeans for a more casual look, or tuck into a midi skirt for work. * AG [Prima cigarette leg jeans](https://shop.nordstrom.com/s/ag-the-prima-mid-rise-cigarette-skinny-jeans-gallant/4787161) in black and grey: despite the name, the grey pair is more like a trouser material than denim, so I wear these to work all the time. They're the perfect straight leg pants for my short, stumpy legs.

Black. Black shirts, long sleeve and short. Black jeans, black slacks. My closet looks like a new bruise: black and blue, with traces of red and purple.

[I have three pairs of flannel lined jeans](https://www.eddiebauer.com/product/womens-boyfriend-flannel-lined-jeans/21117349). Otherwise, nothing! I like trying different brands and stuff, so I have a lot of similar items/they all fulfill the same purpose but they’re not the exact same thing.

I have three [Wilfred Ecoulement V Jumpsuit](https://www.aritzia.com/us/en/product/%C3%A9coulement-v-jumpsuit/66770.html?dwvar_66770_color=12286) 's from Aritizia. Can wear a bra with them and fit perfectly! And my work is business formal so they're the best for getting dressed super fast. Worth every penny (my coworkers think its hilarious that I wear a jumpsuit everyday but it makes life so much easier! )

    1. Madewell 9" Ankle Skinny Jeans. These and the Rag & Bone High-Rise Ankle Skinnies are my two faves and 99% of the jeans I have are one or the other in different washes, and thanks to sample sales/outlets/The Real Real I typically only spend $40-$70 per pair. 2. Lululemon Fast & Free tights. My God. I wish I could live in these. They are the absolute best fabric and fit for everything from SoulCycle to barre class to biking to work. Every time they have a pair on sale I grab another pair, even though usually the ones on sale are crazy colors or patterns. 3. Victoria Secret Angel Max Sports Bra. This is an insane dupe for the Lululemon Enlighten bra for a fraction of the price. So comfy, love the material, and actually holds my ladies in and up (I'm a 32DD) without any wire. 4. Marks & Spencer no-show bikini undies. I live in the US but you can get these on their website. They're super comfortable and you can get them in packs of like 7 for $20 or something.

Finding jeans that fit me perfectly is such a struggle (partially bc I'm so picky) so if I find the perfect pair, I'll buy two pairs in one go to save the heartache of chub rub killing a pair and not being able to buy another. I also seem to have multiples of tan sweaters in slightly varying cuts and material. I swear they are different, but once again it comes down to pickiness in specific cuts.

Oh gosh those Uniqlo U tees that are just the right amount of thickness. They are well structured and don’t show any bra lines. I’ve got them in all sorts of colors and from sizes xs to medium. When they happened to be on sale, as a Uniqlo opened up recently in my state, there were $7. I hoarded even more of them.

I have multiple pairs of AnnTaylor Modern Fit Ankle Length pants. (They used to be called Devin Pants) They fit my body really well so I have 2 pairs. I also have multiple L.L. Bean turtlenecks from several years ago. Reviews say they shrink a ton so I’m hesitant about buying more..

If I find a decent bra that fits I will buy it in every colourway.

I have the Portofino shirt from Express in 8 colors. They always look polished but not stuffy. I work in an industry with a lot of field time and a lot of marketing time so something that fits well both on a construction site and in an office but is otherwise pretty sturdy/low-maintenance is key. I also have multiples of my athletic wear because I work out A LOT and don't always have time for laundry. If something stays comfortable and in place for lifting or yoga, I buy multiples just to save myself the effort and time later.

I found a deal so unpassable that I now have **26 pairs** of Victoria Secret yoga pants. I know. But I work from home most days so I practically live in them and now I can get rid of them when they're worn out without feeling too bad about it! I also have some really simple and lovely merino cardigans from Banana Republic that I found on sale and I have them in 6 colors, I think. A good, simple cardigan never goes out of style!

I have lived in a series of small- to mid-sized US cities and have never had or been to a Uniqlo. What I have learned from this thread is that I need to remedy this problem ASAP.

Gap [skinny ankle pants](https://www.gap.com/browse/product.do?pid=130046) are pretty much the only pants I wear to work! They’re SUPER flattering and have lasted me for years. I try to snag a new pair every time they go on sale

I have about 8 pairs of Converse from my teen days. Two of them still serve me well (simple black, and white), the rest are collecting dust in some old moving boxes. I know one pair that's tucked away is camo-converse with light pink skull prints. There's also a pair of smurf blue ones. Because why not, young me?

Uniqlo's [leggings pants!](https://www.uniqlo.com/us/en/women-leggings-pants-409059.html?dwvar_409059_color=COL35&cgid=women-leggings-pants#start=1&cgid=women-leggings-pants) I've got them in green and black. They feel like leggings, but they're thicker and more work-appropriate!

I own four Uniqlo extra fine merino cardigans in different colors. They’re so soft and comfortable and they last forever. I have a feeling we’re going to see a lot of Uniqlo on this list!

I have about five-hundred uniqlo heattech long-sleeved shirts for winter. They're nice and thin and warm, and perfect for wearing under sweaters. They also look great on their own, and come in a lot of different cuts and colors.

I bought woolovers dresses one after other in plum and navy. Such comfy, warm, simple and flattering dresses that it had been a shame not to buy in other color. [this is the dress](https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/616TDI7CNHL._UX342_.jpg)

I own five of the [Everlane square silk shirts](https://www.everlane.com/products/womens-clean-slk-sq-shirt-mist?collection=womens-tops). (Although I got three of them made for me in different silk patterns/colors at a tailor shop because it was cheaper and I could pick a beautiful silk print :)). They can be dressed up for work or worn with jeans. I love them

I have around 15 pairs of Aerie pocket leggings and 10 Victoria’s Secret sport pocket leggings, all black, because they come in long lengths. I also have maybe 10 pairs of American apparel thigh high black socks and maybe 15 pairs of Vans calf length cut socks. I definitely like to wear the same thing every day as far as basics go. I have like 30 pairs of the same style of underwear too.

I never realize I like something enough to need multiples until it's far too late, but I do own two pairs of black lululemon leggings.

I have 5 pairs of lululemon leggings. I’ve owned them at least 3 years, and since I wash them in cold and line dry, and they’ve yet to pill or lose their elasticity. I work out several times a week so they make sense for me, and I haven’t had to buy a new pair of leggings since I bought them! Hopefully I won’t have to buy a replacement for a while but I definitely would repurchase multiple pairs.

Socks! If I really like a pair of socks, I get at least one more pair. Then if I lose one sock, I keep its mate and eventually it can replace the next lost one.

I started on a linen kick and ordered 3 Loft linen joggers when they were on sale. Now I have 2 wide leg linen pants from Linenfox on Etsy. I have 2 wrap dresses from Linenfox as well. I love buying multiples. I have a bunch of the same buttondown linen shirt from Uniqlo in different colors. It's a very basic, casual look and I'm totally fine having multiples. I used to do shoe multiples too!

Oh lord, this is me. I have a very formulaic uniform for mornings. My first “rule” is solids. That way I don’t have to worry about matching, especially if most of it is in black. - I have about 10 pairs of Banana Republic Sloan pants. They fit well, are sleek and classic, and come in petites. I buy them on Black Friday or used on Poshmark. I have 3 in black, 1 black with white polka dots, 3 in various shades of gray, 1 in army green, and two in dark and light denim. - I have about 7 Uniqlo heattech shirts. Some are scoop neck, some are V, but they’re all solids. - Uniqlo sweaters. ‘Nuf said - Zella live in leggings. I get them on sale and I love them. - Viscata espadrilles. Comfortable height, they look nice without being as “try hard” as heels. One in nude, one in black. - Express satin cami. Basic shells in black and white. Goes well under suit jackets or with a skirt. - Old Navy camisole dress. I have about 10 of these in different prints. They are lightweight, cheap, and flattering to wear. I wear them with one of my 3 different colored H&M cardigans for work. I think I have a problem, hahaha.

Im an attorney, and I own at least ten different types of Calvin Klein pleat neck shell shirts by now. They're perfect for work- look sleek and professional under cardigans and blazers, plus don't have to think about your neckline or whether a collar is sticking out of blazer or anything.

I worked at AA for a long time so I became very accustomed to buying in multiples. Their fisherman sweaters? I have 10. Cable knit pullover? 4. Disco pants? 6. Tri-blend v-necks? 5. Sooooo many examples of this. For other brands, it’s hard to find repeats. I will buy multiples from Uniqlo (pullovers, flannels) and leggings from Athleta (salutation 7/8-length Black).
